A proper Singapore landmark is closing the shutters: HarbourFront Centre — the country's old World Trade Centre, rebranded in February 2003 — will cease operations on 27 July 2026. The date is confirmed on the mall's own website notice. What's left is a final week of trading, and the tenants staying open to the end have marked everything down.

The sales still running
- Moley Apparels — #01-94 · 30% off storewide + buy 2 get 1 free. This is the label's original store, trading at HarbourFront since 2011, so it's the sentimental one. Adults' and kids' wear; T-shirts at $15. Till 26 July.
- Vivian & Sean — #01-70/71/72 · up to 70% off. Ground floor, impossible to miss behind the red banners. Travel essentials, bags, footwear and everyday accessories, with school bags from $15. Till 26 July.
- Vacanza — #01-85 · 4 for $10. Everything in the shop, one flat bundle price. Accessories and small trinkets. Till 26 July.
- Refash — #02-92 · $6 per item + buy 3 get 1 free. Pre-loved fashion, so four pieces for $18. Till 27 July.
- Design & Comfort — #01-90 · buy 1 get 1 free on all regular-priced items (handbags and shoes for the office). The higher-priced item is charged, so pair an expensive piece with a cheap one. Staff couldn't name a firm end date — treat 27 July as the cut-off.
- The Cocoa Trees — no banners, check the tags. Chocolates and sweets with "super deals" and "clearance" stickers, spotted as low as 2 for $9. While stocks last.
Don Don Donki's own closing sale at HarbourFront already ended on 19 July — that unit is done.
The fine print
- Not every store is discounting. Several units were trading at normal prices when TheSmartLocal walked the mall on 17 July; more may join as the date closes in.
- End dates are soft. Most staff said "till the mall closes" or "while stocks last" rather than giving a date. Assume 27 July at the latest, and assume the good stuff goes earlier.
- No restocking. Empty shelves were already visible mid-July. Sizes and popular colours are the first casualties.
- Clearance is usually final sale. Ask about returns and exchanges at the till — after 27 July there is no store to go back to.
- Mall hours are 10am–10pm daily right up to the last day. Weekday afternoons are the quietest window.
Getting there, and what happens next
HarbourFront Centre is at 1 Maritime Square, Singapore 099253, directly above HarbourFront MRT (NE1/CC29) — the escalators from the station come straight up into the atrium.
Two things worth knowing:
- Ferries are fine. Singapore Cruise Centre relocated to 5 HarbourFront Avenue on 15 July 2026, about 70 metres from the old terminal, and sailings to Batam, Bintan and Karimun continue uninterrupted from there.
- VivoCity is unaffected and stays open as normal, so the area isn't going dark.
After 27 July, Mapletree redevelops the site into a 33-storey mixed-use tower — roughly 123,000 sqm, about 26 floors of Grade A offices above five floors of retail and lifestyle space, with a 13,000 sqm elevated park and a new waterfront promenade. Target completion: first half of 2031.
Tips
- Go this week, on a weekday, if you want a specific size or item. Go on the final weekend only if you want cheap volume and don't mind what you end up with.
- Bring cash and your own bag — some clearance counters get slow with cards, and the carrier-bag charge still applies.
- Make it a loop: the mall, then Refash upstairs, then walk across to VivoCity if you still have shopping left.
