Guzman y Gomez sells its Minis for $6 on the 6th of every month, and September's lands on Sunday 6 September 2026. The price is the easy part. The useful part is the two questions nobody answers: what hours it runs, and which restaurants are actually open for them.

The hours, from GYG's own website
GYG has not written the running time anywhere in prose. No press note, no terms page, no line on the banner. Every deal listing that has picked this up simply says "6 September" and stops.
The answer is in the site's own code. The $6 Minis slide on gyg.com.sg sits inside a script that strips it out of the page unless two things are true at once: the date is the 6th, and the clock reads 10.30am or later and before 11pm. Miss either and the slide is removed before you ever see it.
That is GYG deciding, on its own website, when its own promotion is live. It is the closest thing to a published window that exists, so:
- Starts 10.30am
- Ends 11pm
Both ends do real work, and in opposite directions.
The 10.30am start costs you the breakfast trade
Most GYG restaurants open at 8am, and the two CBD ones open at 7.30am. None of that counts. If you walk into Ocean Financial Centre at 8am on a $6 Minis day, you pay the ordinary price.
There is a neat symmetry here worth knowing if you follow this chain's deals. GYG's other monthly promotion, the $3 Brekkie Burrito, runs from opening until 10.30am on the 3rd of each month. The two deals hand off at exactly the same minute. They just never happen on the same day.
The 11pm end is mostly theoretical
This is where the Sunday hurts. On Sunday 6 September, of the 21 GYG restaurants that are open at all, four are still trading when the window closes:

Everywhere else, the shutter comes down first. Twelve outlets close at 10pm, three at 10.30pm, and two at 9.30pm. For roughly four out of five GYG restaurants, the practical deadline this Sunday is 10pm, not 11pm.
Two outlets are simply out
The 6th is a Sunday this month, and GYG's two office-district restaurants keep office-district hours:
- Mapletree Business City is open Monday to Friday 8am to 8pm, and closed Saturday and Sunday
- Ocean Financial Centre is open Monday to Friday 7.30am to 10pm, and closed Saturday and Sunday
Both are shut on public holidays too. So 23 outlets on the store finder become 21 for this particular date. That is not a rule about the promotion, it is a calendar accident, and it will not apply on Tuesday 6 October, when both will be open and the CBD becomes the easy option rather than the impossible one.
Where to go, by closing time
All twenty-one, sorted by how long you have on Sunday:
To midnight: Dunearn Village, Orchard Gateway, The Star Vista
To 11pm: VivoCity
To 10.30pm: Pasir Ris Mall, Rail Mall, Westgate
To 10pm: Great World, Guoco Tower, Hillion Mall, i12 Katong, ION Orchard, NEX, Northpoint City, Novena Square, One Holland Village, Serene Centre, Suntec City, Waterway Point
To 9.30pm: Funan, Our Tampines Hub
One opening time is worth flagging as well. ION Orchard opens at 10.30am on a Sunday, the exact minute the promotion starts, so it is the one outlet where there is no dead time at the front of the day.
What a Mini is, and what $6 is against
Minis are GYG's small format: mini burritos, mini bowls, nacho fries and the rest of the smaller plates, sized down from the regular menu rather than being different dishes.
Here is the honest limitation. GYG publishes no a la carte Mini price on its own menu page. Its menu page at gyg.com.sg/our-food lists the range with no prices attached to it at all, so there is no official figure to subtract $6 from, and any "usual price" you see quoted elsewhere is a third-party menu site's number, not the brand's.
What GYG does publish is the $9.90 Mini Meal, which is a Mini plus a side, and since August 2025 that side has been a choice of fries, corn chips or street corn at no extra cost. That is the only Mini price the chain prints anywhere. It makes $6 at least $3.90 under the cheapest Mini deal GYG itself quotes, and the real gap on a bare Mini is smaller than that, because you are not getting the side.
Treat it as a genuinely cheap Mexican lunch rather than a spectacular percentage, and it holds up fine.
The fine print that decides where you go
One line sits under the artwork on GYG's own banner:
> "Available for dine-in & takeaway only."
And a yellow strip runs across the top of the same banner saying it is also available on the GYG app, which is the chain's own ordering app, used here for pickup.
So three routes work: eat in, take away, or order ahead on the app and collect. Third-party delivery does not, and neither does GYG's own web ordering if you switch it to delivery.
Worth reading each time, because this chain moves the channel around. Its five-main Butter Chicken bundle earlier this year ran the opposite way, exclusively on GrabFood.
One thing GYG has not published
Unlike the $3 Brekkie Burrito, which comes with a named participating-restaurant list and at least one outlet excluded in its terms, GYG has published no participating list and no exclusions for $6 Minis. The banner names no outlets and carries no exceptions beyond the dine-in and takeaway line.
The reasonable reading is that it runs chain-wide, and the only thing standing between you and it is whether the door is open. Which, on a Sunday, is exactly the thing to check.
After this one
It comes back on the 6th of every month. The next is Tuesday 6 October 2026, a weekday, which flips the picture: Mapletree Business City and Ocean Financial Centre will both be open, and the outlets that close early on a Sunday keep different weekday hours. Check the store finder again rather than reusing this list.
