Four Star's BTO Home Sale, SAFRA Mount Faber, 11 to 13 Sep 2026: the $1,888 Package Is 53% Off, Not 80%, and It Lands $112 Short of the Cheapest Free Gift

Four Star is running a three-day BTO Home Sale at SAFRA Mount Faber from Friday 11 to Sunday 13 September 2026, and the brand's own artwork carries more detail than the headline does. The banner number, up to 80% off, is attached to one category only: premium mattresses. Everything else on Four Star's posters is quoted as a starting price, so designer bedframes are from $299, storage bedframes from $499, sofas and recliners from $299 and bedding accessories from $69. The showpiece is a whole-home package at $1,888 against a usual $3,988, which is a real saving of $2,100 but works out to 53% off rather than 80%. The catch nobody has flagged sits between two of Four Star's own posters: the free gift ladder starts at a $2,000 minimum spend for a travel pillow, so the $1,888 package finishes $112 below the lowest gift tier. Push the basket past $2,000 and the ladder runs to travel luggage or a latex pillow at $3,000 and a vacuum cleaner at $4,000. There is also a timing problem worth knowing before you go: Four Star's poster says the sale runs 10am to 9pm on all three days, while the event page on its own website says 11am to 10pm on the first two days and 11am to 9pm on the Sunday. The window both sources agree on is 11am to 9pm.

Four Star is putting a three-day BTO Home Sale into SAFRA Mount Faber from Friday 11 to Sunday 13 September 2026, and the brand has published enough of its own artwork that you can price the trip before you make it. Which is useful, because two of the numbers on the banner do not mean what a quick glance suggests.

> Quick view: 11 to 13 Sep 2026 (Fri to Sun) · SAFRA Mount Faber, Level 2, 2 Telok Blangah Way, S098803 · safe hours 11am to 9pm (Four Star's two listings disagree at the edges) · up to 80% off premium mattresses · package $1,888 (U.P. $3,988) · bedframes from $299, storage beds from $499, sofas from $299, bedding from $69 · free gifts start at $2,000 spend · no GST, free delivery, free parking, free 1-for-1 mattress disposal.

Check the hours before you go, because Four Star gives two answers

This is the first thing to sort out, and it is not a nitpick. Four Star's campaign poster prints the event as "11 – 13 SEP · FRI – SUN · 10AM – 9PM". The Sale Event page on its own website instead lists "Opening Hours (Thu – Sat) 11am – 10pm | (Sun) 11am – 9pm".

Those cannot both be right, and the website's version has a visible error in it: 11, 12 and 13 September 2026 are a Friday, Saturday and Sunday, so a "Thu – Sat" label does not fit the dates that same page publishes. The poster's day labels are the correct ones.

The times are the part that actually affects your trip:

Four Star's posterfourstar.com.sg
DaysFri to SunThu to Sat, plus Sun
Fri 11, Sat 1210am to 9pm11am to 10pm
Sun 1310am to 9pm11am to 9pm

The overlap both listings agree on is 11am to 9pm. Arrive inside that and you are covered whichever listing turns out to be the operative one. The disputed hours are the 10am opening (poster only) and the 10pm Friday and Saturday close (website only). If you are making a special trip for the first or last hour, message the sale lines first: 8082 0093 for mattresses and bedframes, 8976 1718 for sofas. Both are stated as message-only numbers.

What "up to 80% off" is actually attached to

On Four Star's category posters, the 80% figure appears on exactly one of them, the sheet headed PREMIUM MATTRESSES. The models named on it are the ArcticSilk Aire Flex, the Tencel, the Back Support, the newly launched Chiro BioPlus and the ArcticSilk Metex.

Every other category on Four Star's artwork is quoted as a starting price rather than a discount, which is a different promise entirely:

CategoryFour Star's stated price
Premium mattressesup to 80% off
Designer bedframesfrom $299
Storage bedframesfrom $499
Sofas and reclinersfrom $299
Bedding accessoriesfrom $69

The storage bedframe sheet is the one worth studying if you are furnishing a smaller flat. Four Star pictures six mechanisms under that one $499 starting price: a German hydraulic lift, a platform bed, a drawer bed, a pull-out bed, an electric lift bed and a trundle bed. A starting price covering that range almost certainly attaches to the simplest mechanism in the smallest size, so treat $499 as the entry point for the category and not as the price of the electric lift bed in the photo.

The package deal, and the maths behind it

The showpiece is a whole-home bundle. Four Star's poster lists it as a Back Support mattress with designer bedframe, a 3-seater sofa and a solid wood dining set, at $1,888 against a stated U.P. of $3,988.

That saving is real and it is large: $2,100 off. But it is worth being precise about the percentage, because the banner sitting above it says 80%:

  • $3,988 minus $1,888 = $2,100
  • $2,100 divided by $3,988 = 53% off

So the package is a bit better than half price. The 80% belongs to standalone premium mattresses, and the two figures describe different purchases. If a salesperson quotes you 80% on the package, ask which line item that applies to.

The $112 gap, which is the sharpest thing on these posters

Four Star is also running gifts with purchase, and the tiers are set by minimum spend:

Free giftMinimum spend
Travel pillow$2,000
Travel luggage$3,000
Latex pillow$3,000
Vacuum cleaner$4,000

Now put that next to the headline package. The package is $1,888. The lowest gift tier starts at $2,000. Buy the flagship bundle on its own and you finish $112 short of the cheapest gift on the board.

That is a fixable gap rather than a reason to walk away. Bedding accessories start at $69, so a single pillow or sheet set on top of the package clears $2,000 comfortably and picks up the first tier. The point is simply that the headline package and the gift ladder were priced so they do not quite meet, and nobody buying the package would notice unless they read both posters side by side.

Gifts are marked subject to terms and conditions on the artwork, and roadshow gifts are ordinarily while stocks last, so confirm the tier is still live before you add items purely to reach it.

What comes with every purchase

Four Star's "What's More" sheet lists six inclusions, and a couple of them are worth real money on a large furniture bill:

  • No GST. Four Star states it absorbs the GST, which is worth about 9% on its own, and it applies on top of the sale prices rather than instead of them.
  • Free delivery.
  • Free 1-for-1 mattress disposal, which matters if you are replacing rather than furnishing from scratch. Paid disposal is a common hidden line on furniture bills.
  • Free parking at the venue.
  • Free taxi claim upon checkout, refunded at the point of sale.
  • 0% interest instalment plan, with conditions, covered below.

The sheet also carries the claims "No Price Hikes" and "No Hidden Fees". Four Star separately advertises warranties of up to 15 years, though as always the length varies by product line, so ask which warranty attaches to the specific mattress you are buying rather than to the range.

The instalment plan is narrower than the website says

The event page lists a "0% Interest Instalment Plan" with no qualifier. Four Star's own payment poster is more specific, and the difference matters if you are choosing a card at the counter. It states the 0% interest is "exclusively for DBS / POSB / OCBC / AMEX credit cards".

If your card is issued by another bank, there are still two 0% routes on the same poster: Atome over 3 payments and PayLater by Grab over 4 payments. For paying outright, the accepted methods listed are PayNow, NETS, Mastercard, Visa and American Express.

One reminder that applies to every roadshow: an instalment plan spreads a cost, it does not cut one. The money is actually saved by the discount, the absorbed GST and the free disposal.

Getting there, and one page not to check

The venue is SAFRA Mount Faber, Level 2, 2 Telok Blangah Way, Singapore 098803. The nearest bus stop is SAFRA Mt Faber 14281, served by buses 124, 131 and 195/195A. Parking at the venue is free with the sale, and the taxi claim is refunded when you check out, so the trip itself should not cost you anything if you buy.

On membership: the sale sits inside a SAFRA clubhouse, but nothing in Four Star's listing or on any of its posters makes SAFRA membership a condition of shopping it. Four Star has attached member-linked extras to SAFRA-venue sales in previous years, so members may as well ask at the counter, but there is no published members-only rate for this run.

Finally, a navigation warning. Do not check fourstar.com.sg/in-store-promotion for this sale. That page is still running the brand's "Top 5 Mattress Brand" campaign, whose own terms date it 20 March 2026 to 31 May 2026. The live listing for this event is the Sale Event page. It is a good reminder that a brand having a promotions page does not mean the promotions page is current.

Is it worth the trip?

If you are furnishing a BTO flat and were going to buy a mattress, a bedframe and a sofa anyway, three days at one venue with GST absorbed and delivery and disposal included is a reasonable use of a Saturday. The package at $1,888 is a genuine half-price-plus bundle, provided the entry-level Back Support mattress and the specific sofa and dining set on offer are ones you actually want.

If you are only after a mattress, the 80% headline is aimed at you rather than at package buyers, but Four Star has not published a single sale price for any individual mattress, so there is no way to know from home which model reaches 80% or what it costs. That is worth walking in with a comparison figure in hand rather than taking the percentage at face value.

Frequently Asked Questions

What time does the Four Star BTO Home Sale actually open?

Four Star publishes two different answers, so plan around the overlap. Its campaign poster prints "11 – 13 SEP, FRI – SUN, 10AM – 9PM", which applies the same hours to all three days. The Sale Event page on fourstar.com.sg instead says "(Thu – Sat) 11am – 10pm | (Sun) 11am – 9pm". Those day labels do not match the dates the same page gives, because 11, 12 and 13 September 2026 fall on a Friday, Saturday and Sunday, so the website's Thursday reference cannot be right. The practical answer is that both listings agree on 11am to 9pm, so any arrival inside that window is safe on either reading. If you want the extra hour at either end, the poster's 10am opening and the website's 10pm Friday and Saturday closing are each supported by only one of the two sources. Call ahead on the WhatsApp lines (8082 0093 for mattresses and bedframes, 8976 1718 for sofas) if you are making a special trip for the first or last hour.

Is the $1,888 package really 80% off, and do I get a free gift with it?

No on both counts, and the second one is the more expensive miss. On the discount: Four Star's package poster states a usual price of $3,988 and a sale price of $1,888. That is $2,100 off, which is a 53% discount. The "up to 80% off" on the campaign banner is attached to a different thing entirely, namely premium mattresses sold on their own, so the two numbers do not describe the same purchase. On the gift: Four Star's free gift poster sets the lowest tier at a minimum spend of $2,000, for a travel pillow. The package at $1,888 lands $112 under that line, so bought by itself it earns no gift at all. The ladder above it is travel luggage at $3,000, a latex pillow at $3,000 and a vacuum cleaner at $4,000. If you were going to buy bedding anyway, note that bedding accessories start at $69, so adding one item takes the basket past $2,000 and into the first gift tier. Gifts are stated as subject to terms and conditions, and roadshow gifts are typically while stocks last, so confirm the tier is still being honoured before you build a basket around it.

Do I need to be a SAFRA member, and which cards get the 0% instalment?

On membership: the sale is held at SAFRA Mount Faber, but nothing in Four Star's own listing or on any of its campaign posters sets a SAFRA membership condition for shopping the sale, and the brand advertises free parking and a refunded taxi claim, which points to an event open to the public rather than a members-only one. Four Star has run member-linked extras at SAFRA venues in past years, so if you are a SAFRA member it is worth asking at the counter whether anything additional applies to this run, but do not count on a members-only rate that Four Star has not published. On the instalment: the website lists a "0% Interest Instalment Plan" without qualification, but Four Star's own payment poster is narrower and says the 0% interest is "exclusively for DBS / POSB / OCBC / AMEX credit cards". Holders of other banks' cards still have two 0% routes, Atome over 3 payments and PayLater by Grab over 4. Accepted payment methods on the poster are PayNow, NETS, Mastercard, Visa and American Express. Remember that an instalment plan spreads the cost but does not reduce it, so the discount, the absorbed GST and the free disposal are where the actual money is saved.
