DON DON DONKI's Tampines 1 store turns five this week, and it is celebrating with a two-week sale that only works at that one outlet.

The store opened on 22 October 2021, and the poster's theme is "Dive Into 5th Anniversary", with the penguin mascots in snorkels. Below is every price on DONKI's own poster, with the usual price beside it, so you can see which ones are real savings.
THE $5 DEALS: one is half price, the rest are modest

The beef hamburg is the one to plan around: DONKI's poster marks it "Must Buy", and at half price it is the only $5 item that saves real money. The salmon sushi is a decent $1.50 off. The cheesecake and Beniharuka sweet potatoes are 90 cents off, which is nice if you were buying them anyway but not worth the trip on their own.
SAVE $5: beef and crab sticks
- Australia beef for shabu-shabu (chuck misuji), 200g: $12.80, usual $17.80
- JN Luxury frozen crab sticks: $10.90, usual $15.90
Both save $5 on a single pack, so there's no need to buy two. Pair the beef with the collagen nabe soup bundle below and you have a hotpot dinner sorted.
2 FOR $5: milk and chips, mix and match
- Sangaria milk, 500ml, assorted: 2 for $5 (usual $3 each, so you save $1 on the pair)
- JN potato chips, 150g, assorted: 2 for $5 (usual $2.90 each, so you save 80 cents on the pair)
Both are marked mix and match, so you can pair melon milk with banana milk, or two different chip flavours. Each line pairs within itself, so one milk plus one chips is not a pair.

These are the pantry buys. The microwave rice works out to about $1.47 per 180g bowl at the bundle price, and the drip coffee to about 31 cents a sachet.
THE FINE PRINT
- Tampines 1 only. Every price on the poster is exclusive to DON DON DONKI at Tampines 1, Level 2 (#02-25 to 30). Other Donki outlets are not running it.
- While stocks last. The poster says so twice, and fresh items (sushi, hamburg, beef) usually go first, especially on weekends.
- More in store. The poster adds "and many more in store", so expect extra anniversary tags on the shelves beyond this list.
- Bundle prices need two packs. Buying one bundle item gets you the usual price.
TIPS
- Go on a weekday morning for the best chance at the sushi and hamburg packs.
- Bring a cooler bag if you are buying the beef, pork jowl or crab sticks; Tampines 1 is a bus or MRT ride home for most people.
- Stack the hotpot: shabu-shabu beef ($12.80) plus a 2-pack of collagen nabe soup ($24.60) comes to $37.40, with a spare soup base for a second hotpot night.
