Korean chicken chain BHC just opened its Jewel Changi B1-247 outlet and is giving away a free Chicken Burger to the first 50 customers daily — running through Sunday 15 May 2026, takeaway only, 10am to OOS. Optional $4 meal upgrade. Get there early.

Korean fried chicken chain BHC Chicken has just opened its Jewel Changi Airport B1-247 outlet, and is giving away a FREE Chicken Burger (regularly S$8.90) to the first 50 customers per day through to Sunday 15 May 2026. That's just 2 more days including today.

The mechanic is dead simple: turn up at Jewel Changi B1-247 from 10am onwards (Jewel itself opens to the public at 10am — you can't queue inside before that). The first 50 customers each day get a free Chicken Burger. Takeaway only — no dine-in for the freebie. T&Cs apply, 1 per pax. After 50/day, you pay regular price.

Optional S$4 meal upgrade: for an extra S$4, you can add fries + a drink — making your full meal cost just S$4 instead of the regular S$14.90 set. Roughly 73% savings on a complete meal. Most queue-goers are taking the upgrade.

Queue intelligence: Pax 1-30 is basically guaranteed if you're in line by 9:30am weekday / 9am weekend. Pax 30-50 depends on no-shows. After 10:30am your odds drop sharply; by 11am on weekdays the daily 50 allocation is typically gone. Sunday 15 May is the last day and predictably the busiest — arrive by 8:30am if you want it.

This is the only Jewel Changi BHC outlet, and the only SG outlet honouring the opening promo — BHC's other SG outlets (SAFRA Mount Faber, Bukit Panjang Plaza, etc) do NOT accept this deal.

Bonus for travellers: flash a same-day boarding pass at the counter to get the Traveller Set at S$14.90 (down from S$18.90). Available all day, not capped at 50 pax.

Frequently Asked Questions

What time should I arrive to get the free burger?

The 'first 50 pax daily' opens with the store at 10am. Realistic queue formation: 9:15-9:30am for weekdays, 8:30-9am for Sat/Sun (15 May is the last day — Saturday/Sunday, predictably the busiest). The first 30 in line are basically guaranteed; pax 30-50 is dependent on whether anyone ahead skips out. If you arrive after 10:30am, your odds drop sharply — by 11am on weekday, the 50/day allocation is typically gone. Jewel Changi opens to the public at 10am too, so you can't queue inside before that — wait at the entrance.

Where exactly is BHC Chicken at Jewel Changi?

Jewel Changi Airport, B1-247 — basement level 1 of Jewel. From Changi Airport MRT (CG2), exit to Jewel via the underground link; once in Jewel, take the escalator down to B1 and head toward the food court / quick-service-restaurant cluster. B1-247 is in that cluster. The 50-pax queue typically forms in the corridor outside the unit. Note: this is the only Jewel Changi outlet — BHC's other SG outlets at SAFRA Mount Faber, Bukit Panjang Plaza, etc, do NOT honour this opening promotion.

What's the optional $4 meal upgrade?

If you want to turn the free Chicken Burger into a full meal, you can pay $4 extra to add fries + a drink — making the whole meal $4 instead of the regular $14.90 set. That's roughly a 73% saving on a complete meal. Most takeaway recipients seem to be doing the upgrade — the queue post-burger-receipt for the upgrade order is typically the second-longest line. Pay with cash, card, NETS, PayNow accepted. If you don't want the upgrade, just take the free burger and leave.

Why is BHC Chicken giving away free burgers?

Standard new-outlet opening promotion — BHC Singapore wants to drive opening-week awareness + Instagram coverage for the Jewel Changi location. Korean chicken chains compete fiercely in SG (KyoChon, Chicken Up, KFC Korea, Don Don Donki K-Burgers, NeNe, BHC), and Jewel Changi is high-traffic but also high-rent + high-competition. The free-burger week is designed to (1) seed the social media chatter, (2) introduce travellers and locals to the brand before reviewing the broader menu, (3) test operational throughput in the new outlet. After 15 May the outlet operates standard pricing (Chicken Burger S$8.90, Traveller Set S$14.90 with boarding pass).
