We read the published price lists of six Singapore handyman firms on 16 October 2026. A choked toilet costs S$80 to S$180 depending on who you call, hanging a picture S$70 to S$90, and the most-reviewed firm publishes no prices at all.
Most small fix-ups in Singapore land between S$70 and S$180 with transport included.
> Quick view: most-reviewed is LS Handyman (quote only); the cheapest published plumbing is Kiasu Plumber, toilet choke from S$80; watch out for "from" prices and inspection fees.
How to choose
- Price the job before anyone comes. Send two or three photos and the block type (HDB, condo or landed) on WhatsApp. Every firm here quotes from photos, and it saves an inspection charge.
- Read "from" as a floor. Everyworks, FixinGuru and Kiasu Plumber publish starting prices; a concealed pipe, a non-standard lock or a concrete wall pushes the figure up. Helpling's fixed rates are the easiest to hold a firm to.
- Bundle small jobs. Everyworks charges S$70 for the first picture and S$30 for each extra one. Most firms work the same way, so a list of five jobs in one visit is far cheaper than five call-outs.
- Two brands are not always two quotes. Everyworks, A1 Handyman, Mr Plumber and Daylight Electrician share one WhatsApp line. For a real comparison, ask one firm from that network and one from outside it.
- Electrical work needs a licence. Swapping a bulb is handyman work. A new power point or a new circuit should be done or signed off by a Licensed Electrical Worker.
- HDB owners: check who is responsible first. Leaking ceilings between flats and some common-property items are handled through HDB or the town council rather than a private handyman.
How we checked
Prices were read on 16 October 2026 from each firm's own website: Everyworks' price page, Helpling's handyman page, FixinGuru's price list and Kiasu Plumber's homepage. Review counts are the figures shown in each firm's own review widget that day. Helpling's campaign terms come from its Great Haze Escape T&C page. We dropped Sendhelper, which now redirects to PropertyGuru's homepage, and newer firms without a track record we could check.
