Agoda and DBS have been running a Sunday hotel offer all year, and the way it is described almost everywhere is "50% off, capped at S$100, minimum spend S$200". Open the campaign page itself and that sentence is not there. What Agoda prints, in the banner, is this: "DBS/POSB Shiok Sundays: Enjoy S$100 off with a minimum spending of S$200 on your hotel bookings! (Limited Redemptions Only)".
That is a flat S$100, and the difference matters the moment your booking goes past the minimum.
> Quick view: S$100 off hotel bookings with at least S$200 of room charges, every Sunday, on agoda.com/dbssunday, paid with a DBS or POSB card. The code changes weekly and goes live at 1am SGT. Sunday 30 August 2026 is DBSSSUNDAY32, already published on the page. Prepaid "Promo Eligible" rooms only, one code per person, weekly allocation, first come first served.
The mechanic, straight off the campaign page
- Where: the dedicated page agoda.com/dbssunday. The offer does not exist on the ordinary Agoda site or in a normal app search
- Who: DBS and POSB cardmembers, paying with the card
- How much: S$100 off, minimum spend S$200
- When: every Sunday, with a different promo code each week, live from 1am SGT
- This week's code: DBSSSUNDAY32, for Sunday 30 August 2026
- What qualifies: only accommodations marked "Promo Eligible". Pay-at-hotel room types are excluded, so you are prepaying
- Where to key it in: on the desktop site, click "View all coupons" under Savings Corner. In the app, "Apply coupons" under Savings Corner. The field only appears when the offer is live and still has allocation

The "50% off" line is doing real damage
At exactly S$200 of room charges, S$100 is half, so the two descriptions agree and everybody kept copying the percentage. Step away from the minimum and the flat number is all that survives:
| Room charges | S$100 off is | What you pay |
|---|---|---|
| S$200 | 50% | S$100 |
| S$300 | 33% | S$200 |
| S$500 | 20% | S$400 |
| S$1,000 | 10% | S$900 |
Read the other way round, the deal is at its best exactly at the floor. A two-night stay at S$100 a night gets the same S$100 as a week-long stay at S$1,000. If you are booking a long trip, splitting it into separate Sunday bookings would be the obvious move, except that the code works once per user, so you cannot.
Four conditions that quietly kill the discount
1. Room charges only. Agoda's terms limit the discount to accommodation room charges and exclude taxes, service fees, processing fees and personal expenses. A booking that shows S$239 at checkout may carry only S$200 of qualifying spend. If your room charges land just under S$200, the code will not apply no matter what the total says.
2. Prepaid only. The redemption steps say it plainly: pay-at-hotel room types do not qualify. If you like holding a free-cancellation, pay-later rate, this offer is not compatible with that habit.
3. One code per user, and a cancellation still burns it. The terms read "redeemable once per user (including cancelled or amended booking)". Book, change your mind, cancel, and the code is spent for that week. Get the dates right before you apply it.
4. There is a weekly quota. The banner says Limited Redemptions Only and the terms add "subject to availability on a first-come-first-serve basis". This is why the code activates at 1am SGT rather than at a civilised hour, and why the promo code field disappears entirely once the week's allocation is gone. If you open the page on Sunday evening and see no coupon field, that is the answer.
On top of those, the offer is non-cumulative: no stacking with other promotions, discount cards, loyalty programmes, vouchers, or discounted and fixed-price items, and gift cards cannot be used to pay.
Sunday 30 August: you have to choose
Agoda runs a second DBS page, agoda.com/dbs, and its Aug Mega Sale is live until 31 August 2026 (stays to 31 December 2026) with up to 60% off plus a stackable extra 20%. That extra 20% is capped at S$50, so it stops improving at S$250 of room charges. Agoda also notes that once the 20% pool is exhausted, the page falls back to a year-round 7%.
Since the two offers cannot be combined, Sunday 30 August is a straight pick:
| Room charges | Shiok Sundays | Aug Mega Sale extra 20% | Better |
|---|---|---|---|
| S$150 | not eligible | S$30 | Mega Sale |
| S$200 | S$100 | S$40 | Shiok Sundays, by S$60 |
| S$250 | S$100 | S$50 (capped) | Shiok Sundays, by S$50 |
| S$600 | S$100 | S$50 (capped) | Shiok Sundays, by S$50 |
The rule is simple enough to remember: S$200 or more of room charges on a Sunday, use the Sunday code. Anything less, or any other day, use the everyday page. The one thing the table cannot capture is the underlying rate, since the two pages surface different inventory, so it is worth pricing your hotel on both before committing.
What the official page does not tell you
There is no promotion period and no stay period printed anywhere on agoda.com/dbssunday. The terms refer repeatedly to "the Promotion Period" and "the stated Stay Period" without ever stating either. Deal listings put the campaign at every Sunday until 27 December 2026, with stays to 30 June 2027, and the code numbering supports the start date they give: counting 25 January 2026 as the first Sunday, 30 August 2026 is number 32, which is exactly what DBSSSUNDAY32 says. Useful, but not confirmed by Agoda or DBS in writing, so do not plan a mid-2027 stay around it without checking the page again first.
How to actually get it
- On Sunday, from 1am SGT, open agoda.com/dbssunday and copy the code from the banner
- Search your dates and destination on that page, not on the main Agoda site
- Filter down to a property showing "Promo Eligible", and pick a prepaid room type
- At checkout, open Savings Corner, click View all coupons (or Apply coupons in the app) and key the code in
- Confirm the discount has appeared on the booking form before you pay, and pay with your DBS or POSB card
- Check the room charge line, not the total, against the S$200 minimum
