Penang Culture is marking its founder's birthday with four new dishes at $8.80++ each, on the menu from Thursday 1 to Saturday 31 October 2026. It is dine-in only.

The offer
Penang Culture's Facebook post (27 September) calls it the "Big Boss's birthday" and puts four new plates on at one price:

The post says "1-31 October only". These are new dishes, so there is no usual price to compare against; $8.80++ is simply what they cost this month.
The fine print
- Dine-in only. The poster's terms say so, so it won't work for delivery or takeaway.
- The "++" matters. Service charge and GST go on top. At 10% and 9%, one dish comes to about $10.55, and two come to about $21.10.
- Rice isn't mentioned. The four are mains-style dishes and the post doesn't say rice is included, so budget for it separately.
- Terms can change. The poster notes the management may amend them without notice.
- Outlets. Penang Culture lists two restaurants: Changi Airport Terminal 1, #03-19 (10.30am-12am daily) and Compass One, #03-13 in Sengkang (10.30am-10pm daily). The post doesn't limit the deal to either, but it doesn't name them either, so call ahead if you're making a special trip.
Tips
- Share all four. At about $42 nett for the lot, a table of two or three can try every dish for less than a single buffet ticket.
- Changi T1 is open till midnight. It's a handy late dinner before a red-eye, or after picking someone up.
- At Compass One, the buffet is a separate thing. That outlet also runs a Häagen-Dazs buffet, so tell staff you're ordering à la carte.
- Go early in the month. The dishes are new, and a launch-month price tends to draw a crowd on weekends.
