One of Japan's most-viral dessert exports is landing in Singapore for the first time: Cheese Wonder, the Tokyo-headquartered frozen cheesecake brand that consistently draws 3-hour queues and sells out in minutes at its Japan and Hong Kong pop-ups, opens its first-ever Singapore pop-up at ION Orchard's Basement 4 Indoor Atrium from 8 May to 3 July 2026 (~8 weeks).

The signature product is a two-layer no-bake frozen cheesecake — a light cheese soufflé layer on top, denser cheese mousse below, on a crunchy almond-cookie base. Served frozen (it's meant to be eaten that way; the cheesecake half-melts in your mouth like a high-end ice cream). The brand sources dairy and free-range eggs from its own farm in Hokkaido — that's the half-the-secret behind the rich, tangy cheese flavour the product is known for.

The line-up + pricing:

  • Signature Cheese Wonder — S$35.90 for 4-pack, S$53.90 for 6-pack. The default order if you're queuing.
  • Cheese Wonder Red (Strawberry) — S$42.90 for 4-pack. Whole Japanese strawberry wrapped in strawberry-infused cheese mousse + cheese soufflé top. Seasonal limited.
  • Wonder Sand — S$35.90 for 8-pack. Crisp almond-cookie sandwich, filled with Hokkaido-milk-and-butter cream + cheese-flavoured cream. The "easier-to-share" option.

Queue intelligence: Opening week (8–14 May) will be the worst — expect 2–3 hour queues at peak (12pm–2pm + 6pm–8pm) and stock-out risk by late afternoon. From week 2 onwards queues typically settle into 30-60 min on weekdays, 60-90 min on weekends. Best time slots: weekday 10am opening (when the mall opens, queue is usually 10–15 min) or weekday 8:30–9pm last hour (quiet but stock may be running low). Avoid Sat/Sun 12pm–7pm during the first 3 weeks unless you genuinely enjoy queues.
