Audio House's 9.9 Electronics and Furniture Sale is live, and for once the exact window does not have to be guessed at. The countdown script sitting on Audio House's own homepage opens the sale at midnight on 8 September 2026 and closes it at 11.59pm on Sunday 20 September 2026. The poster above the products says only NOW TILL 20 SEPT, so the start date is something only the site's own code will tell you.

What the poster actually promises
Three offers are stacked on the artwork, and they are meant to be read together:
- Extra 9.9% off storewide with every $1,000 spent.
- Free 99% eCashback with every $500 spent.
- Free $990 cash vouchers before purchase, for selected TVs, washers, fridges, aircons, small appliances, bedding and sofas, with the vouchers valid till 20 September.
A fourth sits in a green circle at the bottom: $400 eCashback upon using $400 NEA Climate Vouchers. The poster then carries three lines of fine print in small type, and all three matter: "Only for participating brands and models", an asterisk reading "Not eligible for purchases using eCashback for payment", and a double asterisk reading "Can only be redeemed at the showroom", which attaches to the $990 voucher book.
The eCashback formula, worked out from the site
Every product on Audio House's site carries a line reading "Members' Special: + Extra $X eCashback", and the numbers look arbitrary until you line enough of them up. They are not. The figure is 99% of the largest $500 multiple at or below the product's price. That is the poster's "99% eCashback with every $500 spent", applied literally, and it held on every one of the 19 featured 9.9 items we priced on 9 September:
| Product price | $500 blocks | eCashback shown |
|---|---|---|
| $350 (Samsung MC28A5137CK-SP microwave) | 0 | no eCashback line at all |
| $799 (Samsung WW90DG6U34LESP washer) | 1 | $495 |
| $1,199 (Samsung RB43DG6005B1SS fridge) | 2 | $990 |
| $1,629 (LG TX2313DT5G washer) | 3 | $1,485 |
| $2,599 (LG 65QNED82BSA TV) | 5 | $2,475 |
| $3,999 (LG OLED65G6PSA TV) | 7 | $3,465 |
| $4,499 (LG OLED77B5PSA TV) | 8 | $3,960 |
| $6,999 (LG OLED83B6PSA TV) | 13 | $6,435 |
The practical reading is that the badge is a restatement of the price, not a property of the product. It also explains the cliff at the bottom: a $499 item earns nothing while a $500 item earns $495, and the $350 microwave in the sale has no eCashback line for exactly that reason.
What $990 of eCashback is actually worth
This is where the headline and the money separate, and Audio House documents the answer itself rather than hiding it.
Its terms and conditions state that all eCashback "can only be used at Audio House website and showroom platforms" and that it is valid for 10 years from the issue date. So it is store credit with a long fuse, not a rebate.
Its FAQ then sets the rate at which you may spend it: "members gain $20 eCashback for every $100 spent; for every $100 spent, you can use a $20 eCashback voucher to offset the payment." It must be used in multiples of $20, and the computation runs on the net product total in a single receipt, "excludes delivery, installation, disposal and any additional service charges."
Run the arithmetic on the sale's own badges and the picture changes shape:
| eCashback earned | Further Audio House spending needed to use it up |
|---|---|
| $495 | $2,475 |
| $990 | $4,950 |
| $2,475 | $12,375 |
| $3,465 | $17,325 |
| $6,435 | $32,175 |
Then comes the clause that decides whether any of it compounds. The FAQ lists it as a numbered rule: "For every $100 spent, members can only choose one of the following options: Option A. Get $20 eCashback vouchers. Option B. Use $20 eCashback vouchers (that members have in hand) to offset their purchases." And immediately after: "If members choose to use eCashback vouchers to offset their purchases, there will not be any further eCashback voucher gained."
You either earn or you spend. The purchase you finally redeem your $990 against will itself return nothing. This is the same mechanic we wrote up when Audio House ran its August overstock clearance, where the rate was a free $300 per $500 spent. The 9.9 rate has been raised from $300 to $495 per $500, but the exit remains the same $20-per-$100 door.
The price cuts underneath all of that
Strip the badges away and price the 19 featured 9.9 products against the usual prices Audio House prints beside them, and the sale is real but ordinary. The spread on 9 September 2026:
| Product | Sale | Usual | Cut |
|---|---|---|---|
| LG DFC533FV dishwasher | $999 | $1,759 | 43.2% |
| LG GF-B6174TW 611L 4-door fridge | $2,799 | $4,469 | 37.4% |
| Samsung DV90T6240LE 9kg heat pump dryer | $999 | $1,499 | 33.4% |
| LG 75QNED82ASA 75" QNED TV | $1,799 | $2,699 | 33.3% |
| Samsung WA80F13B6BSP 13kg top load washer | $899 | $1,299 | 30.8% |
| Samsung WW90DG6U34LESP 9kg front load washer | $799 | $1,149 | 30.5% |
| Samsung MC28A5137CK-SP 28L microwave | $350 | $499 | 29.9% |
| Samsung RS70F65Q3FSS 655L side-by-side fridge | $1,599 | $2,199 | 27.3% |
| Samsung WD12BB944DGBSP 12/8kg washer dryer | $1,599 | $2,139 | 25.2% |
| Samsung RF59A70T4S9 649L 4-door fridge | $2,399 | $3,099 | 22.6% |
| LG OLED65G6PSA 65" OLED evo TV | $3,999 | $4,999 | 20.0% |
| LG OLED55C6PSA 55" OLED evo TV | $2,597 | $3,199 | 18.8% |
| Samsung RB43DG6005B1SS 427L fridge | $1,199 | $1,399 | 14.3% |
| Samsung QA65S85HAEXXS 65" OLED TV | $3,599 | $3,999 | 10.0% |
| LG 55QNED80BSA 55" QNED evo TV | $1,099 | $1,199 | 8.3% |
| LG SYS 3 inverter aircon Z3UQ28GFA1 | $3,185 | $3,466 | 8.1% |
| LG OLED83B6PSA 83" OLED TV | $6,999 | $7,599 | 7.9% |
Two things fall out of that table. Laundry and dishwashing are where the sale is strongest, with four of the top six cuts. And the premium TVs are where it is thinnest, which is also where the eCashback badges are largest: the 83-inch LG OLED is discounted 7.9% while advertising $6,435 in eCashback, a number worth 92% of its price and requiring $32,175 of further spending to consume.
About that "up to 90% off"
We parsed 79 priced products off Audio House's own homepage rails on 9 September and the deepest discount anywhere was 58.4%, a JBL SBR-BAR300PRO soundbar at $549 against a usual $1,319. The next deepest were a La Gourmet 12L oven at $59 from $119 (50.4%) and a Four Star Chiro Essence super single mattress at $1,499 from $2,998 (50%).
We could not find a 90% item online. That does not make the claim false, since clearance and display sets in the Ubi showroom are not listed on the website and are exactly where a number like that would live, but it does mean the 90% is not something you can shop for from a laptop. Treat it as a showroom claim until you are standing in front of a price tag.
Fine print worth reading before you buy
- The $990 voucher book is showroom-only. The poster's own double asterisk says the cash vouchers can only be redeemed at the showroom, and they expire with the sale on 20 September.
- Climate Vouchers are also a showroom transaction. Eligible products say so on their own pages, in the line "This item is eligible for Climate Vouchers at our showroom". Nine of the 19 featured items carried it.
- Guest checkout earns nothing. The FAQ is explicit that no eCashback is issued if you check out as a guest rather than as a member.
- eCashback cannot pay for delivery, and delivery is not always free. The Samsung WW90DG6U34LESP washer lists standard delivery at $40 while the LG TVs in the same sale list free delivery with free wall-mounting.
- Instalment plans need $500 minimum, calculated excluding any eCashback and Credit you apply.
- eCashback and Credit are different things. Credit, in Audio House's own words, "is the equivalent of cash", has no expiry, no minimum spend, and can pay delivery and Audio House installation charges. eCashback can do none of that. If a staff member offers you either, they are not equivalent.
- Display sets and selected showroom products are excluded from earning or spending eCashback entirely.
- Returns claw it back. The FAQ states that on a completed refund or return, eCashback, Credit and any free gifts issued are returned to Audio House.
So is it worth going?
If you need a washer, dryer or dishwasher, yes, on the price alone. A 30% to 43% cut on a current Samsung or LG laundry machine is a real number, the extra 9.9% at $1,000 sits on top of it, and the Climate Voucher top-up is genuine money if you have vouchers left and are willing to buy in person.
If you are shopping a premium OLED, the discount is thin and almost all of the offer is arriving as credit you can only spend at Audio House at 20 cents on the dollar. Price the same model at BEST Denki, COURTS, Gain City and Harvey Norman before you decide, because an 8% cut is inside the range those four routinely move against each other.
The one rule that makes the whole thing legible: count the price cut as the deal, and treat the eCashback as a discount on a purchase you have not decided to make yet.
